More threes! Mon 3 Dec, I had the pleasure to see two great concerts at Melbourne Recital Centre. The Plexus Collective in the Salon, the 3 members playing up a storm as usual, and presenting multiple world premieres. Excellent works by Clare Strong, John Polglase, Katy Abbott, Gerald Cohen and others. Followed by Olafur Arnalds in the main hall, with his travelling treated upright pianos, a string quartet and percussion. Impressive quiet musicianship, great sound and lighting, and amazing impromptu minute-of-silence at the end of the night.
