New work for 6 Flutes performed by Monash Flute Ensemble

John’s work for 6 Flutes of various sizes will be performed at two concerts next week.

Friday 12 Oct at the Sir Zelman Cowan School of Music, Monash University, and Saturday 13 Oct at the Church Of All Nations, Carlton. Both at 7:30. The concerts will feature contemporary works by Australian, Vietnamese and Italian composers, performed by the Monash Flute Ensemble lead by flute-master Peter Sheridan. Flutes of all sizes – John’s piece, Alighting#1,  is for standard flutes, plus alto, bass, contrabass, and sub-contrabass flutes. Yes, these are all very real instruments, some of them very large, and they all sound wonderful!
